Steve Lundin passed away peacefully June 23, 2008. He left as he lived, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 2, 1959. After a childhood following his father, Fritz Lundin Sr., from country to country as a "military brat," he settled in Glenwood Springs and completed high school. During those years he was an accomplished athlete, leading football, basketball, track and swim teams to many victories.
The most important thing that happened to Steve was when he fell in love with his soulmate, Debbie. With her love and support he became a successful builder of homes. He became a proud parent with Debbie, and they raised three wonderful children: Jennica, Rebecca and Eric. They were the light of his life. Camping, sailing, golfing, hunting and skiing with his family was his passion.
Steve is survived by his wife and children; brothers Fritz, Kurt and Gus; sister Patti; stepmom Cindy; and nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; and mother, Bette.
A celebration of Steve's life will be held at 11 a.m. June 30 at the Glenwood Springs Golf Course. A pot luck lunch will follow. Contact Pam at 379-9705 to contribute to the lunch. Smiles must be brought by all.

Benjamin P. "B" Borroel September 11, 1958 - January 8, 2009 Benjamin P. "B" Borroel passed away tragically on January 8, 2009 in an auto collision accident outside his home in Grand Junction. Ben was born on September 11, 1958, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to Richard Borroel and Betty (Buntin) Deane. He graduated from Glenwood Springs High School and later went on to study at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs and at Colorado Northwestern Community College in Rangely. Ben later moved to Colorado Springs where he married Charlene Latard on September 11, 1993 and lived there for ten years. Ben suffered from epilepsy and a developmental disability all his life, but he was industrious and strove for excellence despite his afflictions. Regardless of the hardships in his life, he bore them always with an unwavering smile. Above all, Ben was a people person that made friends with everyone he encountered and he had a talent for conversation. Ben was very involved with SABE (Self Advocates Becoming Empowered), where he traveled the country speaking on behalf of other handicapped people and their rights. Ben was also a proud volunteer at Community Hospital in Grand Junction. He was an active member of the Fellowship Church where he was a greeter and most importantly had Jesus Christ in his life. Although we know that Ben is happy now in arms of the Creator, he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Richard Borroel, and is survived by his 96 year old grandmother, Phyllis Burrowes; mother, Betty Deane; brother and sisters, James (Denise) Canaday, Phyllis (Joseph) Snoddy and Charlotte (Jack) Morse; nephews, Josh (Lindsay) and Luke (Erin) Snoddy; nieces, Dawnelle and Sabrina Canaday; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral service will be held at the Fellowship Church, 765 24 Rd., in Grand Junction on Saturday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception thereafter. Cremation preceded the service and interment will follow sometime this summer at the foot of his father's grave in Oak Creek, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, contributions or donations should be given to the Fellowship Church of Grand Junction in loving memory of Ben Borroel.
